Job Description

Winsert is seeking qualified candidates to join our Grinding Department! This position is ideal for candidates who have strong mechanical aptitude and are willing to learn something new. Manufacturing experience preferred.
B Shift :
Monday•Thursday (8pm•6am)
C Shift :
Friday•Sunday (6am•6pm)
D Shift :
Friday•Sunday (6pm•6am)
Pay:
$21•$27 per hour
General Summary:
Proficiently and safely set up and operate grinding equipment using a variety of measuring/inspection equipment to produce parts within production standards.
Essential Job Functions:
Set up and operate grinding equipment, along with applicable feeding system to keep product dimensions within specified tolerances in accordance with the allotted production requirements Replace, position, and secure dresser diamonds and grinding wheels, using various hand tools & lifting equipment, where needed Inspect product to verify conformance within required specifications, using a variety of measurement and inspection equipment Perform limited total productive maintenance at the specified intervals Perform limited data collection requirements, such as SPC or daily production information
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to use basic hand tools Ability to read and understand blueprints Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail required Understanding of basic mathematics, English and Metric measurement scales Ability to use computer skills to navigate ERP system and perform data collection
Physical Demands:
Requires prolonged sitting, standing, bending, stooping and stretching. Requires the ability to lift 50 pounds. Requires eye-hand coordination, manual dexterity and a normal range of hearing and vision (with or without correction).
Education and Experience:
Minimum high school education or equivalent Manufacturing experience preferred
