Job Description
Job Title:
1st Shift Laser Operator Job Description Operate Bystronic Fiber Lasers and other equipment as needed to manufacture conveyor system parts of all shapes and sizes using prints, standard works, and 3D models of the product. Collaborate with manufacturing personnel to ensure quality, efficiency, and deadlines are maintained in a fast-paced environment. Ensure machine optics are maintained by performing tasks such as tape shots, focusing the lens, cleaning lenses and nozzles, and replacing lenses, nozzles, tips, and other supplies as needed. Responsibilities Operate laser and waterjet cutting tables. Load assorted sheet and plate using various hoisting equipment. Monitor the operation of cutting equipment. Deburr, drill, and tap assorted parts. Use assorted measuring tools to ensure accuracy. Count, sort, label, and measure parts for accuracy. Perform in-process inspections. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area. Work overtime as needed. Accept other duties as assigned. Essential Skills 0-2 years of laser experience. 1-2 years of experience in metal manufacturing. Experience in machine operating and general production. Additional Skills & Qualifications Ability to assist in the operation of laser and waterjet cutting tables. Proficiency in using assorted measuring tools. Willingness to work overtime as needed. Work Environment Work in a structured schedule with 1st shift operating Monday to Thursday from 5am to 2:30pm and Friday from 5am to 9am, while the 2nd shift runs Monday to Thursday from 3pm to 1am. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Neenah, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
