Job Description
Client near Selma, CA is seeking to fill Production Operator positions. Full time, $18/hour,12 hour shifts. Must be able to lift, carry, push and pull product for long periods of time. Job Summary Close Up Operator Duties Objective The primary goal is to prepare and secure loaded racks and containers for shipping. Work Area Preparation Review the shift product schedule at a computer workstation. Move throughout the production area by walking on concrete, metal machine, and catwalk surfaces. Securing Loaded Racks Stabilize and secure loads using hand tools and packing materials. Secure heavy rack gates with the assistance of a co-worker. Replace poly and metal band rolls every 1 to 5 days. Closing Loaded Containers Position polyband or metal bands to properly secure the container loads. Move large container lids from the staging area to the container. Secure the container box or lid using an air or cordless nail gun. Operating Automatic Wrapper Apply the initial wrap strip to the rack or container. Observe the process and monitor the automatic wrapping machine. Manually move plastic rolls to secure loads when the automatic wrapper is not working. Housekeeping Sweep, wipe, and brush work surfaces clean throughout the shift. Access underneath work surfaces to remove accumulated debris. Remove debris from the floor and work surfaces into garbage containers.
