Job Description
Grinder Job Summary:
The Grinder is responsible for smoothing and preparing metal parts using large swing or hand grinders. The goal is to remove defects and sharp edges before final processing.Key Responsibilities:
+ Examines and feels surface of work piece for defects + Removal of defects and/or sharp edges + Inspects tooling and equipment prior to use to ensure it is in proper working condition; immediately resolves issues as required + Selects grade of abrasive belt, wheel, or disk according to specifications, knowledge of abrasives, and condition of metal, and attaches to grinder + Starts grinder and moves it over surface of work piece to remove scratches, laminated metal, excess weld material, and burs + Polishes ground areas with finer abrasive to produce smooth, unmarred surface. + Follow safety procedures and wear required PPE + Keep work area clean and organized + Complete work logs and maintenance records + Communicate with team and supervisors + Perform other duties as neededRequirements:
Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident (due to ITAR) High school diploma or GED preferred Manufacturing experience preferred but not required Basic reading and measuring skills Must be safety-focused and detail-oriented Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 35 lbs 5pm-3am Mon-Fri Starting at $19.50 Please send your resume to AdeccoBranch5140@adeccona.com •Pay Details:
