Priming Full Job Description Schedule:

Full-time, Monday

•Thursday, 6:00 AM

•4:30 PM. Overtime may be required on Fridays as needed. Wedgewood Cabinetry is seeking a skilled Cabinet Finisher to prepare, stain, glaze, seal, and finish custom cabinetry to a high-quality standard. Our shop uses 2K polyurethane finishes and stains, so experience with 2K systems is a plus. The ideal candidate has a sharp eye for detail, solid hands-on experience with wood finishing, and works well as part of a production team.

Responsibilities:

Prepare surfaces for finishing by sanding, filling and smoothing Apply stains and paints to cabinetry using brushes, spray guns and other tools Inspect finished products for quality to ensure they meet Wedgewood standards Maintain a clean and organized workspace Assist in other areas of the factory as needed Willingness to learn and develop new skills Meet production deadlines

Qualifications:

3+ years of cabinet, furniture, or wood finishing experience Working knowledge of stains, sealers, lacquers, paints, and finishing techniques Experience with HVLP spray guns and finishing equipment Ability to color-match and blend finishes accurately Understanding of proper sanding grits and surface prep techniques Familiarity with safety procedures for handling chemicals, solvents, and spray equipment Ability to read work orders and finish specifications Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 80 lbs, and work in a shop environment Comfortable wearing required PPE (respirator, gloves, safety glasses) Team-player and positive attitude required Able to communicate in a professional manner Attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work overtime when required
