This position assists with preparing, handling, loading, unloading, and organizing metal parts throughout the powder coating process. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, physically capable of performing hands-on work, and willing to learn the powder coating process. Previous experience in a powder coating, metal fabrication, manufacturing, or industrial environment is a plus but not required. Responsibilities Assist with preparing metal parts for the powder coating process. Clean, sand, grind, mask, and otherwise prepare surfaces as needed. Hang and remove metal parts from the powder coating line or racks. Load and unload parts safely and efficiently. Assist with moving and organizing materials throughout the shop. Inspect finished parts for proper coverage, defects, and overall quality. Package, label, and prepare completed parts for delivery or pickup. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Operate basic hand tools and shop equipment as trained. Assist powder coating technicians and other shop personnel as needed. Follow all company safety procedures and proper PPE requirements. Follow instructions regarding production schedules, part identification, and quality standards. Report damaged materials, equipment issues, or quality concerns to supervisors. Perform general housekeeping and other duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous shop, manufacturing, powder coating, welding, or construction experience is preferred but not required. Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment. Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and work with metal materials for extended periods. Ability to safely lift and move materials and parts as required. Basic understanding of hand tools is a plus. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Positive attitude and willingness to learn. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Must be safety-conscious and willing to properly use required PPE. Previous powder coating experience is a plus. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to [100] lbs. Ability to stand for extended periods. Frequent bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and lifting. Ability to work around heat, dust, metal, and industrial equipment. Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment.
