SUMMARY:
Performs all jobs relating to the Machine Shop Deburr/Finishing Department. •Hiring for 2nd Shift Metal Finisher - 2:30PM - 10:30PM•ESSENTIAL
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The metal finisher performs the following duties on a wide range of products and equipment. Work is performed under supervision by the department Lead. Follow job schedule to perform bench operations to polish and remove burrs from a variety of machined and fabricated parts Assist Floor Supervisor with the assignment of jobs to the Finishing Department's personnel Create tools to increase efficiency of part finishing Reading and interpreting blue prints Manual polishing and metal finishing Powered device use for polishing and metal finishing including dremels, sanders, drills, grinders and other tools to complete parts Use of special tools to remove burrs from critical areas Inspect own work, correct or report detected discrepancies to supervisor Maintain an organized and clean work environment. Maintain necessary records. Move materials in the performance of duties or as directed. Detect and report improper operation, faulty equipment, defective materials and unusual conditions to supervisor It is every employee's responsibility to be aware of and adhere to the applicable Safety & Health, Quality and Environmental Process of the Company.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or GED required Experience with Metal Finishing Trade school, technical school, or military education preferred

Ability to learn to perform the job assignments Ability to read or learn to read Blue Prints Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
