This position is responsible for finishing and preparing precision components in accordance with established quality and production standards.
The Metal Finisher / Blender will perform a variety of finishing operations, including deburring, buffing, blending, cleaning, grinding, masking, sanding, and polishing. Key Responsibilities Read and interpret drawings, work instructions, and other production documentation. Perform filing, sanding, deburring, blending, grinding, and polishing of components. Perform weld preparation as required. Properly operate bead-blasting equipment. Inspect and prepare parts to meet established quality and production requirements. Perform routine TPM/preventive maintenance activities on assigned equipment. Maintain a general understanding of other manufacturing and shop processes. Work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with minimal supervision. Manage multiple tasks while maintaining quality, safety, and productivity standards. Demonstrate accountability, initiative, adaptability, and a strong focus on quality. Perform additional duties as assigned. QualificationsEducation & Experience High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of one year of related manufacturing, metal finishing, blending, grinding, polishing, or similar experience preferred . Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant experience will be considered. Skills & Abilities Ability to read and understand basic instructions, drawings, and work instructions. Ability to communicate effectively in one-on-one and small-group environments. Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. Ability to follow written, verbal, and diagrammed instructions. Strong attention to detail and ability to resolve routine production issues. Basic computer proficiency, including email, word processing, and spreadsheets.
Pay:
$20.00 - $23.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
