Job Description

Position Summary Standard Iron has been a leader in contract manufacturing for over 90 years, delivering quality products and innovative solutions to customers across a variety of industries. We are currently seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Finisher to join our manufacturing team in our Powder Coat Paint Department. This position is responsible for removing parts from production nests, separating and sorting components, performing finishing operations such as deburring and grinding, conducting quality inspections, and preparing parts for the next stage of production. The ideal candidate takes pride in producing quality work, maintains a strong safety focus, and thrives in a team-oriented environment.
Compensation & Schedule Pay Range:
$20.00
  • $28.00 per hour (starting wage based on experience) $1,000 Hiring Bonus paid over your first year of employment First Shift Monday
  • Thursday 6:00AM-4:30PM 4-Day Work Week Second Shift Monday
  • Thursday 4:30 PM
  • 3:00 AM 4-Day Work Week Additional $3.00/hour shift differential Weekend Shift Friday-Sunday 6:00AM-6:30PM 3-Day Work Week

MobH Key Responsibilities Part Preparation:
Inspect and prepare metal parts for the powder coating process by removing burrs, sharp edges, weld splatter, and other imperfections.
Grinding & Finishing:
Use hand and power tools, such as grinders, sanders, and other finishing equipment, to smooth surfaces and prepare parts according to quality specifications.
Quality Inspection:
Carefully inspect parts before and after finishing to identify defects, surface imperfections, or areas requiring additional work. Attention to
Detail:
Ensure all parts meet required quality standards, specifications, and customer requirements before moving to the next stage of production.
Material Handling:
Safely move, organize, and prepare parts and materials for the powder coating process.
Multi-Tasking:
Effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities throughout the day while maintaining productivity and quality.
Production Support:
Assist with various duties within the powder coat paint department, including hanging, unhooking, masking, plugging, and preparing parts as needed.
Equipment Operation:
Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and other department equipment in accordance with established procedures.
Teamwork:
Work closely with team members and other departments to maintain production flow and meet daily production goals.
Safety & Housekeeping:
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following all company safety policies and procedures.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities to improve processes, quality, efficiency, and workflow and communicate ideas to leadership. Qualifications Previous manufacturing, production, or metal fabrication experience preferred but not required. Ability to safely operate hand tools, grinders, and finishing equipment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to read and follow work instructions and production documentation. Dependable attendance and strong work ethic. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
