Stone Fabricator / Installer (106581) We are seeking a skilled Stone Fabricator to join one of our community leaders in high-end stone fabrication and installation in both commercial and residential spaces. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality craftsmanship. With a focus on cutting, gluing, grinding, and polishing quartz and natural stone, you will play a crucial role in ensuring projects are completed to the highest standards. Hours Full-time, Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm Location Kailua-Kona, Big Island Pay $30 to $40 an hour, Negotiable based on experience Responsibilities Cut, glue, grind, and polish quartz and natural stone with precision. Follow job plans, cut sheets, and specification sheets to ensure accurate fabrication. Inspect all incoming slabs and outgoing countertops for scratches, fissures, and defects. Lift and handle large countertop pieces, both in the shop and on-site. Maintain a clean and organized workspace and job site. Read and interpret blueprints, plans, or cut sheets for accurate measurements. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion. Assist in problem-solving fabrication or installation issues. Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment. Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of experience in the fabrication of natural stone or quartz; 5+ years preferred. Experience with installation is desirable. Proficient in using and maintaining hand tools such as tape measures, grinders, and polishers. Strong adherence to craftsmanship standards, attention to detail, and quality control. Familiarity with CNC machinery and CAD software preferred. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work well under pressure. Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks and lift up to 50 lbs. Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a desire to produce quality work. Detail-oriented with good organizational and communication skills. Driver's license preferred but not required.
