Job Description
•JOB SUMMARY•Bennington is the market-leading pontoon boat manufacturer and a wholly owned subsidiary of Polaris Industries, a Fortune 500 company. A Buffer supports the manufacturing team by restoring, correcting, and enhancing painted surfaces to meet Bennington quality standards. This position uses specialized polishing and buffing equipment to remove defects, improve finish appearance, and ensure products are delivered to customers with exceptional fit and finish. •

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
•+ Inspect painted surfaces for imperfections, scratches, and defects. + Operate buffing and polishing equipment safely and effectively. + Remove sanding marks, oxidation, swirl marks, and other finish defects. + Restore painted surfaces to meet company quality standards. + Verify finish appearance and ensure components meet production specifications. + Assist with final touch-up and finishing operations as required. + Maintain buffing tools, pads, compounds, and related equipment. + Follow all safety procedures and personal protective equipment requirements. + Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area. + Support department production goals and schedules. + Cross-train within the department and support other team members as needed. + Participate in quality improvement initiatives to reduce rework and defects. •SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
•+ High school diploma or equivalent preferred. + Experience with automotive, marine, or manufacturing buffing and polishing preferred. + Knowledge of polishing compounds, buffing techniques, and surface finishing processes preferred. + Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship. + Ability to identify and correct finish-related defects. + Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. + Good communication and problem-solving skills. + Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. + Willingness to cross-train and support departmental needs. + Must be able to stand for prolonged periods and perform repetitive motions. + Must be able to frequently lift up to 40 pounds. + Willingness to work overtime and Saturdays when necessary to meet production demands.Equal Opportunity Employer Minorities/Women/Protected Veterans/Disabled
