Examines surface of metal to detect defects such as dents, scratches, burrs or breaks in metal. Prepares surface of part and edges to specified finish. Polishes metal surface. Inspects own work. Scribe parts and then blend to the scribe lines. Responsible for the proper handling and management of hazardous waste generated in their work area. Other duties as assigned. Required Skills and Qualifications Ability to read and understand blueprints preferred. Ability to operate a forklift. Prior use of air tools and measuring instruments is preferred. Read and understand internal procedures and policies. Understand and follow through on both verbal and written instructions. Active Listener Detail oriented Team oriented with a continuous improvement outlook. Basic Computer Skills - able to learn new screens, reports, functions and simple software programs with assistance.
