SHLA Position Summary:

A well-established manufacturer in Shreveport, LA is seeking a Finishing Grinder to join their product finishing department. This role is responsible for grinding and finishing metal products to meet quality and presentation standards.

Responsibilities:

Operate pneumatic and electric handheld surface grinders. Smooth and finish surfaces of metal products according to specifications. Ensure proper marking of pipes per company procedures. Follow quality, safety, and presentation requirements for all products. Coordinate tooling changes with team members as needed. Maintain a clean and hazard-free work area. Follow all written and verbal instructions from supervisors. Report any unsafe conditions immediately. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Prior experience with surface grinders preferred. Ability to work safely in a physically demanding environment. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Comfortable working in hot and dusty conditions with required PPE. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions. Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
