Full Job Description Finisher/Painter - Manufacturing Fulcrum Acoustic is currently hiring for two Finisher/Painter positions: First Shift (7am-3:30pm) Second Shift (3:30pm-12:00am). This is a cross-trained, floating position supporting both our Finish and Paint departments based on production needs. Employees will begin by training in our Finish department, where they will learn the cabinet preparation process, including sanding, filling, repairing surface imperfections, routing, and preparing loudspeaker enclosures for coating. Once proficient in Finish operations, employees will progress into Paint training, learning proper masking, surface preparation, spray equipment operation, and the application of paint and polyurea coatings. Once fully trained, this position will float between the Finish and Paint departments as needed, providing flexibility and support based on daily production requirements. What You'll Do Prepare wooden loudspeaker cabinets and components for painting and coating. Sand surfaces using power and hand tools to create smooth, finished surfaces. Fill cracks, staple/brad holes, depressions, and other surface imperfections. Repair minor defects in wooden components using putty, glue, or other appropriate materials. Use hand routers, fixtures, templates, and other tools as required. Clean, mask, inspect, and prepare cabinets and components prior to painting. Learn to safely operate spray equipment and apply paint and polyurea coatings according to established specifications and quality standards. Inspect completed work for appearance, coverage, texture, coating thickness, and overall quality. Identify and correct minor finishing or coating defects and communicate larger quality concerns to supervision. Maintain tools, spray equipment, work areas, and production equipment in a clean and organized condition. Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and respirators when required. Work cooperatively with team members and support either the Finish or Paint department based on production needs. Perform other duties as assigned. What We're Looking For Manufacturing experience preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate. Experience using hand, power, or pneumatic tools is a plus. Ability and willingness to learn both cabinet finishing and industrial painting/coating processes. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work. Ability to read and follow work instructions, drawings, and specifications. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Willingness to work in a flexible role and move between departments based on production needs. Ability to safely wear required PPE, including a respirator. Good communication skills and ability to promptly communicate production or quality issues. Physical Requirements This position requires regularly using hands and fingers to handle tools and materials and standing, walking, and reaching for extended periods.

Employees must be able to:

Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds without assistance. Frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance. Occasionally lift and/or move more than 150 pounds with assistance. Occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Perform work requiring close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

$20-$21/hr Additional 10% shift differential for second shift. Opportunity for increased pay after becoming fully trained and qualified in both Finish and Paint.
