A Finisher, Polisher, or Buffer cleans, sands and polishes materials such as wood, stone, plastic, or metal used in manufacturing processes. Performs finishing and polishing done at the final stages of production to prepare goods for consumers.
Responsible for all molding machine operator floor support duties. Essential Duties and responsibilities Operate molding machines (Operator Breaks). Clip, trim, visually inspect and package quality products as required in the documented instructions. Ensure proper housekeeping by clearing and cleaning the workspace. Complete all paperwork pertaining to production neatly and correctly following all quality standards. Perform checks and compare parts with the QA samples. Monitor, record and report all scrap. Assist molders during machine changes as needed Perform inspection of machine to identify potential malfunctions. Utilize IQMS to understand schedule, provide correct materials, and produce labels. Set up operator workstations per next production order. Willing and able to obtain a fork truck permit to move materials as needed. Responsible for following all established Vaupell policies, standard operating procedures and safety practices. Other duties as assigned . Job Qualifications/Requirements High school diploma or GED Manufacturing (injection molding) experience very helpful. Ability to read, speak, understand and follow instructions in English. Must be able to wear and properly use the required personal protective equipment including steel toe shoes. Understand basic math Computer skills- Ability to learn IQMS software a must Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
