A Finisher, Polisher, or Buffer cleans, sands and polishes materials such as wood, stone, plastic, or metal used in manufacturing processes. Performs finishing and polishing done at the final stages of production to prepare goods for consumers.

will consist of all functions related to material handling, packing, assembly, and fabrication of TSLOTS parts.
What You Will Be Responsible For:
Grizzly Mill or TM2 experience a plus. Operate a fork-lift as required. Verify that all metal is packed properly and adequately banded. Tag each bundle with packing tag. Record all data on required paperwork or in EPICS. Keep work area clean and safe. Measure part length and verify that they meet the requirements of the shop order. Visually inspect parts for surface defects. (Dents, Scratches, blisters, die lines, streaks) Understand the difference between using variable and attribute gages to check parts. Able to understand material handling techniques to package parts off machines (when necessary). Operate a finish saw per saw OPI Job Description. Perform all required quality and equipment checks. Responsible for all final cuts to length processes for the TSLOTS Department. Verify all saw setups for accuracy. Communicate effectively with Supervisors, Line Leaders, and co-workers. Keep work area clean and safe. Wear required PPE. Inform Supervisor of any quality or equipment or safety concerns. Work without supervision at a good pace. Have an acute awareness of conditions and hazards associated with the job. Perform other duties assigned by Supervisor. These duties may require the temporary transfer to another department. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud and always without air conditioning.

Must be able to use banding equipment, air nail gun, and radial arm wood saw. Must be able to read and understand Bonnell shop orders. Must be able to understand decimals, fractions, and tolerances.
