Non-Exempt Position Summary:
This position is a highly valued role driving our continued growth and success. This role is responsible for Machining and Metal Finishing multiple products for production. Responsibilities include but are not limited to studying the blueprint, job instructions/router and specifications for set-up. Sets-up and operates multiple types of forming and fabricating machines such as metal finishing and machining. Work ranges in difficulty and includes close tolerances. Uses a variety of measuring instruments. Uses shop mathematics. Workers may use carts or pallet jacks to move raw material or finished parts. Work direction and training may be given to less experienced workers. Must meet established production standards, and work in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
  • This individual must be able to modify parts out of various gauge metal, working from prints or verbal instructions.
  • Responsible for complex set ups, forming, and editing programs at the machine
  • Has the ability to adjust machines to maintain dimensional specifications and rework parts as needed.
  • Perform operations in an appropriate order to machine parts to specifications.
  • Operate and maintain different grinders and drills.
  • Complete necessary paperwork on inspections and operations. Perform assigned work to time standards and quality expectations.
  • Detect malfunctions and notify supervisor of any material or equipment problems.
  • Submit specified materials for inspection.
  • Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
  • Move and stack material as required.
  • Select and load proper tools for each job.
  • Assist Engineering personnel in developing new parts and products.
  • Inspect parts to prints and confirm parts via in process checks.
  • Working efficiently as a team on new orders.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficiency with precision measuring tools.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to read and understand blueprints.
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$19.00 - $22.00 per hour
