This role focuses on applying high‑quality surface treatments and coatings that meet strict industry and customer standards. Candidates who enjoy hands‑on work, precision, and consistency will thrive in this position. Responsibilities Apply various coatings and surface treatments to machined and assembled parts according to specifications Prepare components for coating, including cleaning, masking, and surface preparation Review and follow work instructions, customer specifications, and AS9100 quality requirements Measure, mix, and apply coatings using approved techniques and equipment Inspect coated parts to ensure coverage, thickness, adhesion, and finish meet quality standards Maintain coating tools, equipment, and material inventory Complete production documentation accurately and support continuous improvement Ensure proper ventilation, PPE use, and adherence to all safety and environmental regulations Work closely with quality inspectors, machinists, and supervisors to resolve coating issues Qualifications Experience in industrial coatings, painting, plating, or similar finishing processes preferred but not required Ability to read and follow detailed specifications, technical instructions, and basic drawings Knowledge of coating prep, masking techniques, and material handling Good hand‑eye coordination and attention to detail Familiarity with spray guns, mixing systems, and finishing equipment a plus Ability to lift up to 40-50 lbs and work on feet for extended periods Strong safety awareness and reliable work ethic Why Join Sonju Industrial?
