Vector's partner is in need of a Power Coater which will be responsible for the application of powder to various metal surfaces to enhance its appearance and provide protection. This role requires the monitoring and operation of equipment and facilities while ensuring quality and conformance with standard operating procedures. The operator must always maintain safety standards and initiate and follow emergency procedures when necessary. Up to $20/hr. to start 1st and 2nd
Shift Responsibilities:
Operate powder coating equipment Load and unload parts from overhead conveyer or manual racks Touch-up parts in powder coating booth as necessary using manual powder coating guns Ensure proper adhesion and coverage of powder coating on surfaces Ability to read and interpret various build specifications, quality requirements and computer-generated documents Visually inspects parts for defects Performs Quality Checks as directed Responsible for maintaining 5S in the work area Assisting team members as needed Communicates in an efficient and effective manner with coworkers and supervisors to ensure jobs are completed accurately Demonstrates the proper use of tools and equipment
Qualifications:
Familiarity with precision measuring instruments for quality control purposes Finishing in a manufacturing environment or transferrable manufacturing experience Must have the ability to read assembly drawings and follow direction Ability to use hand tool Must be able to stand for extended time periods, bend, squat and kneel Must have good vision to inspect parts and assemblies High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school preferred. #IND102
