Shop Utility - First Shift

Job Description

Sims-Lohman is hiring Granite Fabricator or Utility team member with 2+ years' previous granite fabrication with machine operation experience to work at our Columbus, Ohio location. We have first shift available. First shift hours are 7:30 AM
  • 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday with overtime as needed. This position will be utilized as needed within our shop operating cutting machinery and or hand polishing. Responsibilities include:
  • Trim, scrape or polish countertops or parts, using hand grinders and equipment
  • Verify quality of finished countertops by inspecting them, comparing them to templates or measuring their dimensions
  • Operate fabrication machinery to router or polish counter top edges
  • Operate machinery to cut countertop pieces to specifications and customer satisfaction Qualifications
  • 2+ years' experience polishing countertops highly preferred, and/or 2+ years' experience general industrial experience using hand grinder or polisher.
  • Ability to use a variety of hand tools including hand grinders and hand routers
  • Ability to read shop drawings and use a tape measure
  • Ability to work with heavyweight
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen Competitive Pay Based on Experience.
