Position Overview We are hiring a part-time Grinder to join our manufacturing team in Galion, OH. You will grind castings and weldments, cut metal as assigned, and help keep the shop moving so finished parts and customer orders leave on time. Hours are daytime and set around your availability (typically 20 to 30 hours per week based upon business needs). Previous grinding and finishing experience preferred. You should be able to work independently, follow prints, and produce a consistent, high-quality surface finish. Key Responsibilities Grind castings and weldments to specified dimensions and surface finish Cut metal as assigned Use basic measuring tools (tape, calipers, scale) and read dimensioned part drawings Keep your work area clean and help keep the shop tidy Operate a forklift as assigned Work safely around other shop equipment and team members Stand most of the day and use grinders and cutting tools as part of regular shop-floor work Requirements Proven hands-on experience grinding and finishing metal in a manufacturing or fabrication shop Ability to consistently produce accurate dimensions and high-quality surface finishes Able to read a dimensioned part drawing Able to use basic measuring tools (tape, calipers, scale) Forklift experience preferred Reliable transportation Able to work safely in a machine shop Dependable attendance and the ability to work independently What We Offer $18-$20 per hour, based on experience Flexible daytime hours built around your availability Work with a well-established local manufacturer serving the ceramics industry This part-time role does not include benefits.
