Twinsburg, Ohio Employment type: To be confirmed Opportunity to join a local Painters Union after 90 days of completed service, providing access to health benefits, pension, and vacation benefits When you work through The Reserves Network, you are eligible to enroll in dental, vision and medical insurance as well as 401(k), direct deposit and the referral bonus program Job Description An established commercial millwork manufacturer is seeking an experienced Commercial Millwork Painter / Finisher to produce high-quality finishes on doors, trim, cabinetry, moldings, and other wood components. In this role, you will prepare surfaces, mix and apply paints and stains, inspect finished pieces, and complete touch-ups as needed. You will work closely with project teams to meet quality standards and production deadlines while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
Responsibilities:
Prepare, sand, prime, paint, and stain doors, cabinetry, trim, moldings, and other millwork components Mix and match paints and stains to achieve specified colors and finishes Inspect surfaces and finished products for defects, imperfections, and overall finish quality Operate, clean, and maintain painting and finishing tools and equipment Complete touch-ups and repairs while maintaining a safe, organized work area and meeting project deadlines
Qualifications and Requirements:
Commercial millwork project experience is required 2+ years of millwork painting, finishing, or similar experience preferred Strong knowledge of wood-finishing techniques, painting tools, materials, oil-based and water-based finishes, and stains Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project specifications Manufacturing experience and basic math proficiency Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and lift materials as required Ability to work overtime when necessary Valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required depending on the job site
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with spray painting and advanced finishing techniques Experience using spray equipment and various hand tools OSHA safety certification or familiarity with workplace safety regulations
