About the Position ShinePro Services is growing and has secured ongoing work polishing and restoring aluminum semi-trailers. We are looking to add hardworking, detail-oriented employees who have experience with sanding, grinding, buffing, polishing, surface preparation, or other hands-on metal finishing work. This is not a basic auto detailing position. The work involves restoring and polishing aluminum trailer surfaces through a multi-step process that requires patience, consistency, attention to detail, and the ability to perform physically demanding, repetitive work. We are looking for people who take pride in the finished product and understand that skipping steps or rushing the process affects quality. Responsibilities Sand and prepare aluminum trailer surfaces Remove scratches, oxidation, and surface imperfections Operate polishers, buffers, sanders, grinders, and other hand and power tools Perform multi-step aluminum polishing and finishing Maintain a consistent, high-quality finish across large trailer surfaces Follow established polishing procedures and safety requirements Inspect completed work and correct imperfections Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work area Work efficiently while meeting ShinePro quality standards Work as part of a production team to complete trailers on schedule Preferred Experience Experience in one or more of the following is strongly preferred: Aluminum polishing Metal polishing or metal finishing Stainless steel polishing Fabrication Welding shop or manufacturing experience Grinding and sanding metal Industrial paint preparation Auto body preparation Paint correction Powder coating or sandblasting Concrete polishing Countertop or stone polishing Industrial surface preparation Other skilled hands-on finishing work Previous aluminum polishing experience is a major advantage, but we are willing to train the right person with strong transferable experience and a good work ethic. What We're Looking For The right candidate should: Have experience using hand and power tools Be comfortable with repetitive sanding and polishing work Have strong attention to detail Be able to work on their feet for extended periods Be dependable and show up on time Take direction and follow a specific process Work efficiently without sacrificing quality Take pride in producing high-quality finished work Be able to work independently after training Have reliable transportation Compensation Starting pay: $15-$22 per hour depending on experience and demonstrated ability. Pay will be based on actual skill level, work history, and performance during the interview process. Experienced candidates with a background in aluminum polishing, metal finishing, fabrication, industrial sanding, or similar skilled work may qualify for higher starting pay. We are also interested in developing a performance and production incentive program for employees who consistently meet production goals while maintaining quality standards.
