POSITION OVERVIEW
Fit, cut, and tack material.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepares welding joints Cuts material Fit and tack material required from drawings Fill out inspection reports and requests Conventional and measuring instruments Finish grinding applications using manual and power tools Safety and Housekeeping Other duties as assigned by the area supervisor
JOB SKILLS
Ability to read blueprints Basic welding Proficiency in math Knowledge of structural shapes and sizes Ability to work with a torch and bevel machining
EDUCATION & TRAINING
High School diploma
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Five years of related experience in a manufacturing environment Must have a good command of the English language, both written and verbal
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work performed in a non-climate-controlled shop environment Exposed to any number of elements such as hot and cold temperatures, but with none present to the extent of being disagreeable Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods throughout the workday, up to 10 hours per day (with a lunch break in between), up to 6 days per week Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, twist, reach (forward and overhead), and maintain balance. Occasional sitting, kneeling, crouching, and crawling may be required Frequent bending at the waist and twisting movements are required Physical effort includes frequent lifting of materials up to 50 pounds, including lifting from floor to shoulder height and from waist to shoulder height Occasional carrying, pushing, and pulling of up to 50 pounds over short distances (up to 30 feet). Frequent use of hands for handling, grasping, and coordination tasks is required Requires normal vision, hand-eye coordination, and absence of color blindness Hearing ability is required to safely and effectively perform job duties, with the use of earplugs recommended Climbing ladders may be required frequently; climbing stairs or steps may occur occasionally. Proper PPE which includes steel-toe boots, safety glasses, and TAS provided hard hat is required in the manufacturing facility Send resume to :
