Job Description

Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Brush Finisher to join our production team. The Brush Finisher will be responsible for preparing and applying fine, uniform brushed finishes to various products, ensuring they meet the highest quality and aesthetic standards. The ideal candidate will have experience with finishing techniques, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to operate a range of power and hand tools. Typical Duties/Responsibilities Prepare surfaces by cleaning, deburring, and sanding and/or sandblasting to remove defects and prepare for finishing. Apply a consistent and high-quality brushed finish to parts and products using pneumatic and electric finishing tools, such as Dynabrades, brushes, and other abrasives. Select the appropriate grit progression and abrasive materials to achieve the specified surface texture and finish. Follow detailed work instructions, blueprints, and quality control standards. Visually inspect finished parts for conformity to specifications, identifying and correcting any imperfections. Perform preventative maintenance and cleaning on finishing tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance. Collaborate with other production team members to meet project deadlines. Adhere to all company safety protocols and procedures, including wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE). Maintain a clean and organized work area. Required Skills/Abilities Proficiency with pneumatic and electric finishing tools. Knowledge of different abrasive materials and their applications. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions. Strong mechanical aptitude for adjusting and maintaining equipment. Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality craftsmanship. Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination. Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues and achieve desired results. Effective communication and ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in material finishing with a focus on creating brushed or polished surfaces. Physical Requirements Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks. Ability to lift and move objects of moderate/heavy weight. Ability to wear appropriate personal protective equipment. Salary & Benefits Salary Range
  • $20.00/hr to $25.00/hr
