Manufacturing Reports To:
Production Manager Position Summary Dynamic Fitness & Strength is seeking a detail-oriented Metal Finisher to prepare mild steel and stainless steel components for painting, powder coating, and final assembly. This position is responsible for producing high-quality finishes by grinding, sanding, deburring, polishing, and inspecting welded metal components while maintaining company quality and safety standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Grind, sand, deburr, and smooth welded mild steel and stainless steel parts. Remove weld spatter, sharp edges, burrs, and surface imperfections. Blend welds to achieve a clean, consistent appearance. Prepare parts for powder coating, painting, or polishing. Polish stainless steel components to the required finish. Inspect parts for cosmetic defects and quality before moving to the next production stage. Operate hand grinders, orbital sanders, belt sanders, die grinders, and other finishing equipment safely. Read and interpret work instructions, blueprints, and production drawings. Perform minor touch-up work as needed to meet quality standards. Maintain a clean and organized work area following 5S principles. Follow all company safety policies and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Assist with other manufacturing and production duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in metal finishing, fabrication, welding support, or manufacturing preferred. Experience working with mild steel and stainless steel is highly desirable. Ability to safely use hand and power tools. Ability to identify surface imperfections and produce high-quality cosmetic finishes. Basic ability to read measuring devices and manufacturing drawings. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Dependable with good attendance and teamwork skills. Physical Requirements Frequently stand and walk for extended periods. Lift up to 50 pounds regularly. Perform repetitive hand and arm movements. Bend, kneel, twist, and reach throughout the shift. Ability to wear required PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and steel-toed footwear. Work in a manufacturing environment. Preferred Skills Experience preparing parts for powder coating. Knowledge of stainless steel finishing techniques. Familiarity with manufacturing quality standards.
