ExacTech is an indoor metal fabrication shop with a global customer base in large industries including maritime, construction, mining, energy and more. ExacTech is the primary supplier for Marine Travelift and Shuttlelift crane structures, providing steady, in-door work throughout the year.

As a Steel Grinder, you will operate grinding machines and equipment to shape, finish, and polish steel and metal components. 1st shift:
Monday-Thursday:
5:45AM-3:15PM;
Friday:
6:45AM-10:45AM 2nd shift:
Monday-Thursday:
3:30PM-2:00AM As our Steel Grinder, you will… Set up and prepare grinding machines for operation. You will then operate grinding machines to remove excess material, smooth surfaces, and achieve precise dimensions according to blueprints or specifications. Inspect steel and metal components for defects, imperfections, or irregularities before grinding. Maintain records of work completed, including measurements, specifications, and any issues encountered during the grinding process. Perform minor repairs or adjustments to keep machines in optimal working condition. Complete all other duties and responsibilities that are assigned. We are looking for you to… Understand safety procedures and proper PPE usages. Be able to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Have the physical stamina to stand for extended periods of time and be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
