JOB SUMMARY
The Food Equipment Service Technician is responsible for the support of retail operations through maintenance, installation, and repair of equipment utilized in food processing, preparation, and merchandising.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Responsible for maintenance of the food equipment systems and become a proactive partner of the retail stores in assigned locations. Conduct periodic service checks and perform preventive maintenance on food equipment systems to prevent critical failures. Diagnose and maintain all mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and control aspects of the food equipment systems. Install new and remove old equipment as needed for remodel and upgrades. Conceive and help develop procedures and strategies that can be adopted companywide for improved performance, reduced downtime, and cost reduction. Maintain all records necessary for government and company purposes. Responsible for attending on-site work during scheduled shifts to adhere to company time and attendance policies. Ensure efficient and courteous customer service to store locations in support of the companys mission to Run the Best Store in Town!
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in food equipment systems maintenance Experience with single refrigeration compressor systems (retarders, display cases, blast chillers, etc.), required Experience with Hobart brand food equipment, preferred. Valid Type 1 EPA refrigerant certification, preferred. Must possess valid and unrestricted drivers license, required. Proficiency with computer applications and programs including Microsoft Office and Outlook Ability to prioritize, organize, and work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment with competing demands. Possesses strong interpersonal, organizational, decision making, and leadership skills. Able to read and communicate effectively with others and build relationships. Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions, perform routine and repetitive tasks, and have constant contact/interaction with various levels of individuals daily Ability to attend on-site work as assigned, in the typical work week, as well as additional time as needed to fulfill job duties through regular attendance Benefits of working for
