Canoga Park, CA Job Details Full-time $18.50 - $22.50 an hour 19 hours ago Qualifications Kitchen health and safety standards Equipment safety procedures Quality assurance experience within food and beverage industry Food processing plant experience Packing Machine operation GMP Industrial equipment troubleshooting High school diploma or GED Food safety sanitizing procedures Organizational skills Quality control experience within food and beverage industry Food preparation equipment operation Production troubleshooting Full Job Description Candy Maker - Daytime Responsibilities Set up and operate candy-making equipment: mixers, cookers, cooling systems Measure and combine ingredients to a set recipe and production spec Monitor cook and cool temperatures for consistency Mold, shape, cut, and decorate Run quality checks throughout the production run, not only at the end Clean and maintain equipment and work area to health and safety standards Document each run — ingredient usage, batch records, yields, waste Package, label, and box finished product; monitor supply levels Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; culinary or food science training a plus Prior food manufacturing or candy-making experience preferred Working knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices Ability to operate and troubleshoot production machinery Attention to detail and strong organizational skills Familiarity with GMP, quality and food safety programs, and OSHA rules California Food Handler Card within 30 days of hire
