Under minimal supervision, the Food Service Technician/Utility Worker performs culinary and food handling tasks that require specialized training and skill in food preparation, storage, equipment operation, and sanitation, customer service, and clerical work. A Food Service Technician is expected to maintain quality customer relations and collaborate with leadership staff to improve quality and service to customers.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Accurately prepares food items according to standard production orders as directed by leadership and/or First Cook. Responsible for checking and documenting food temperatures according to HACCP guidelines within production/recipes. Reports non-compliance to HACCP standards to leadership and or first cook. Demonstrates correct dishwashing procedures. Accurately assembles orders according to requisitions in a timely manner. Accurately completes inventory and follows instructions and guidelines for proper storage of food and supplies. Properly operates, sanitizes, and maintains equipment in the work area. Complies with policies and adapts to changes in the unit as required. Escalates issues as appropriate to leadership. Performs duties in a mindful and safe manner. Performs other duties as assigned. Our compensation philosophy We offer a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base pay range shown generally applies to the greater Los Angeles area and may vary based on work location.
