What you get to do:
You'll be part of an outstanding team dedicated to maintaining the attractive appearance of our grounds. This role will involve performing a variety of horticultural, grounds keeping and greenhouse tasks, including watering, weeding, planting, transplanting, pruning, mulching, and mowing.
You will:
Install, care for, maintain and remove park annuals, ornamentals, turf and trees Operate (with training) mowers, augers, trimmers, shears, tillers, utility carts, water tanks, tractors, forklift, loaders, trucks, trailers, etc. Perform cold-weather protection and hurricane preparedness Repair any weather damaged areas Communicate professionally and effectively with Ambassadors, Vendors and our Guests Perform other duties as assigned What it takes to succeed: Valid driver's license and ability to meet company driving guidelines Previous experience in a Horticulture or Landscape setting Ability to work with and help lead team and crew Creative problem solving skills and able to identify potential landscape issues Scheduling flexibility Dependability and willingness to learn all aspects of landscaping Heavy machinery experience (backhoe, forklift, manlift) preferred Strong written/verbal communication skills; able to read, write and speak English.
What else is important:
Able to lift, push, pull and/or carry up to 50 lbs. Position engages in extensive walking and standing throughout entire work shift and climb/ascend heights, if needed Perform the following physical activities: kneeling, squatting, bend floor-to waist/waist-to-overhead, reach overhead, simple grasp and fine hand manipulation tasks (use of tools/keyboard/writing) Able to work indoors and outdoors, in varying weather, to include heat. Work a flexible schedule/hours based on business need, to include opening, mid-, and closing shifts; nights, weekends, and holidays Be flexible in work locations as placement will depend on business needs and career development opportunities
Compensation :
