We pride ourselves on maintaining vibrant, healthy plants and delivering top-tier customer service to our clients throughout Silicon Valley. Position Overview We are seeking an organized, proactive, and friendly Plant Care Technician to join our Service team. In this role, you will work independently to care for plants on recurring client accounts, manage special service installations, and build strong relationships with client contacts. Prior plant knowledge is a plus, but not required—we are more than happy to teach the right person! Service Supervisor Schedule & Compensation Pay Rate:
Starts at $20.00/hour, with potential for higher rates commensurate with your experience.
Hours:
Approximately 24-40 hours per week.
Flexibility:
Work schedules may occasionally require late or extra hours, as well as potential night or weekend work (we give as much advance notice as possible). Key Responsibilities Plant Maintenance & Care Maintain interior plants at assigned accounts with proper watering, lighting care, fertilization, and pest control. Learn and demonstrate knowledge of plant names (common and Latin names). Perform regular cleaning, trimming, pruning, and installation/removal of plants as needed. Ensure work areas at client sites and in the warehouse remain clean and organized. Record Keeping & Administration Use the One Big Green app to complete all service records, including route tracking and replacement requests, accurately and on time. Check off service supply lists daily and track specialty arrangement/replacement schedules. Promptly inform management of necessary plant replacements and ongoing account needs. Customer Service & Communication Serve as a polite, professional, and presentable representative of Greenscapes (adhering to company dress code standards). Check in with the Service Manager at the start and end of each workday. Communicate regularly with client contacts and management to solve issues collaboratively. Check calendars daily for route updates, warehouse inboxes, and special requests. Vehicle & Equipment Maintenance Keep company service vehicles clean at all times. Report any vehicle incidents, maintenance needs, or supply issues to management right away. Physical Requirements This role is physically active and requires the ability to work all day in varying conditions.
Candidates must be able to:
Continually stand and walk throughout the workday. Climb up/down ladders, balance, and reach overhead. Bend, stoop, kneel, and squat. Lift and carry heavy plants and planters up to 50+ lbs.
