Description:

Description Thursday and Fridays the business is closed. Must be able to work all other days. Shift can start at 330am, 6am or 8am. 10-12 hour shifts.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Perform pre-operational, in-process, and post-operational checks for processing facilities. Perform sanitation verification checks using ATP swab tests. Perform concentration checks of approved sanitation chemicals, chemical dispensers, and foam guns. Observe and monitor employee practices on GMP and safe food handling. Monitor critical control points and preventive controls (i.e., sanitizing wash, temperature of cooked product, etc.). Communicates deviations of observations, policies, programs, and procedures to management. Communicate any GMP violations to staff (i.e., hand washing, personal protective equipment, jewelry). Perform thermometer verification and calibrations. Monitor temperature recorders and identify any deviations. Collect samples aseptically for water, sprout spent irrigation water, environmental swabs, product, raw material, and quality evaluations. Perform quality evaluations on designated raw material and finished product. Perform quality evaluations for shelf-life testing as needed.

Perform various chemistry tests:

titration, pH, brix/acid tests, water activity. Send hold and release notifications within the company. Submit microbiological test results to customers. Inspect and replace interior pest control stations. Perform glass control checks. Perform scale verification checks. Maintain inventory of supplies. Compile data, analyze, trend, and report as needed. Filing and upkeeping records and documents. Recommend, champion, and execute program enhancements. Other assigned projects and tasks. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Honolulu, HI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
