Quality Assurance Technician 1st Shift / 2nd

Shift Job Description Summary:

QA Technician is responsible for monitoring activities pertaining to food safety and quality assurance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

∙ Conducts Pre-operational Inspection

∙ Monitors employee's GMPs and reports violators to production management.

∙ Monitors CCP (Critical Control Point)

∙ Initiates corrective actions to CCP deviations

∙ Supplies production department with product labels.

∙ Performs metal detector verification.

∙ Monitors temperatures of cold storage and production rooms.

∙ Conducts Operational Inspections on a daily basis.

∙ Comply with food safety and quality assurance standards (GMP, HACCP, SSOP, SQF, etc.)

∙ Follow all Safety Guidelines

∙ Keep work area clean

∙ Responsible to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment

∙ Perform other duties as assigned. - Able to work with raw meat (chicken, beef, pork, ect.) Skills /

Requirements:

∙ Quality experience in meat manufacturing environment and knowledge of

FSIS / USDA

regulations preferable.

∙ Demonstrate experience with internal and external quality audits.

∙ Must be able to work in a fast-paced meat processing environment

∙ Maintain a positive work environment. Working conditions Comfortable to work in a cold and loud environment as this job requires to work in plant setting environment. The position requires the physical ability to do work requiring frequent stooping and bending, the physical strength to lift and carry 50 pounds frequently, physical ability to stand for long hours, to do repetitive work, good visual acuity and ability to work long hours and weekends when needed.

∙ Basic math skills

∙ Open to work 6 days a week and be flexible with schedules when they are asked to cover a different shift or stay longer.

∙ Mon-Saturday & Potential Rotating Sundays Interview is required 1st Shift - 4:30 AM until finish (Hours can vary based on company needs/must be flexible) 2nd Shift - 2:30 PM until finish (Hours can vary based on company needs/must be flexible)
