Job Description :
The Maintenance Processor is responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment, facility systems, and machinery in a food manufacturing environment. The position helps minimize equipment downtime while maintaining food-safety, quality, and workplace-safety standards.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain food-processing and packaging equipment.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and document completed work.
- Respond to production equipment breakdowns and restore equipment to service safely.
- Replace or repair motors, bearings, belts, chains, pumps, valves, sensors, and other components.
- Assist with equipment changeovers, installations, adjustments, and improvements.
- Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO), OSHA, food-safety, sanitation, and company procedures.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and communicate equipment issues to supervisors and production personnel.
- Keep tools, work areas, and maintenance parts organized and safe.
- Work with production and quality teams to identify recurring equipment problems and reduce downtime.
- Perform other maintenance and facility-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills:
Previous maintenance or industrial manufacturing experience preferred. Mechanical, electrical, welding, refrigeration, hydraulics, or pneumatic experience is helpful. Ability to work around machinery, noise, heat/cold, water, and food-processing environments. Ability to lift, climb, bend, stand, and work in physically demanding conditions.
