R&D Production Plant Technician - Food Science

R D Production Plant Technician 2nd Shift (Monday - Friday from 2pm - 10:30pm) | Long-Term Opportunity | Offers Benefits Job Description The Operations Technologist role involves autonomously setting up, completing sanitation, and running equipment for trials. This role requires strong customer service skills to support various platforms, with a focus on the Cereal platform. The position involves occasional heavy lifting and setting up pilot plants using hand tools. Responsibilities + Execute and document analytical tests, panels, and minor experiments. + Procure and manage materials; manage and maintain pilot plant spaces. + Perform basic equipment setup, tear down, and sanitation. + Safely operate large equipment, including mixers, valves, and pumps. + Understand food safety requirements and perform risk assessments. + Assist the Product Development team in creating food products on a production line. + Help determine the production setup, verify finished products, and manage production setup changes during trials. Additional Skills & Qualifications + High School Degree or equivalent. + 2-Year Science Degree or 4-year Science Degree with exposure to food science, dairy science, nutrition, or related coursework. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
