Position Summary As an Agricultural Equipment Diesel Technician, you'll diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide variety of agricultural equipment using advanced diagnostic technology and manufacturer service procedures. You'll work alongside an experienced team in a clean, well-equipped shop while delivering the quality workmanship our customers have come to expect.
Typical Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with rotating half-day Saturdays. Overtime is available during peak agricultural seasons. What You'll Do Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and electronic issues using diagnostic software and specialized testing equipment. Repair and replace diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, powertrains, steering, braking, and electrical components. Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, fluid changes, lubrication, and scheduled service. Accurately document inspections, diagnostics, repairs, labor, and parts on work orders. Communicate additional repair recommendations to the Service Manager. Maintain accurate records of labor and materials used. Participate in manufacturer and company training programs to stay current on new equipment and technology. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Inspect shop tools and equipment and report maintenance or safety concerns. Follow all company safety policies and manufacturer repair procedures. Communicate professionally with customers regarding repair status and equipment operation when needed. What We're Looking For Required Qualifications Diesel Mechanic certification or a minimum of three years of education and/or experience in agricultural, diesel, heavy equipment, or construction equipment repair. Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic skills. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. CDL Beneficial) Personal mechanic's tool set appropriate for the position. Ability to safely operate equipment commonly found in a service shop. Ability to lift up to 75 pounds. Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills. Willingness to work overtime during seasonal demand. • Experience with AGCO equipment, including Massey Ferguson and Gleaner. Experience using electronic diagnostic software and manufacturer service systems. Knowledge of precision agriculture technology is a plus. Why Join Midway Farm Equipment?
