POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for preparing food items. Operates kitchen equipment and follows safety and sanitation procedures to serve food.
QUALIFICATIONS
An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered
Requires 0 to 2 years of job-related prior experience (Prefer more than 2 years)
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
include the following:
Prepares hot food including set-up, cooking and/or serving
Assembles and serves cold food in correct portions
Reads and follows recipes
Operates kitchen equipment
Checks and assures the correct temperature of food, refrigerator and freezer
Cleans and sanitizes kitchen facilities, equipment and dishes
Stocks and dates food and supplies
Sets up, maintains and breaks down food service lines
Serves food to students and staff
Stores and labels leftover food
Basic math skills required
Ability to maintain positive interpersonal relationships
Regularly required to lift objects weighing up to 40 pounds
Other duties may be assigned
