Job Description

Position Summary The Horticulture Technician is responsible for meeting the horticultural needs of commercial clients and maintaining healthy, attractive plants, trees, and landscaped areas. This position provides routine plant care, interacts with customers, delivers plants & plant materials, assists with exterior planting as needed, follows established service schedules, and communicates concerns to the Field Leader. We are willing to train the right candidate! Essential Duties & Responsibilities Attend to the horticulture needs of commercial clients. Maintain plants and trees using water, fertilizer, hand tools, and horticultural equipment. Perform watering, fertilizing, pruning, trimming, weeding, planting, and seasonal maintenance. Monitor plants and trees for pests, disease, damage, or other concerns. Communicate customer, plant, or landscape concerns to the Field Leader. Interact with clients in a courteous, professional, and informative manner. Complete scheduled services thoroughly and on time. Deliver plants & plant materials to existing clients Assist with exterior seasonal planting and watering as needed Safely operate and maintain company tools, equipment, and vehicles. Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Maintain a clean, professional work area and appearance. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Horticulture, landscaping, nursery, or related experience preferred but NOT a must! Dependable and able to maintain a consistent schedule. Strong attention to detail and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required. Physical Requirements Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, and reach for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry plants, fertilizer, tools, and equipment. Ability to safely operate hand tools and horticultural equipment
