Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Seed Packaging Technician to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for accurately packaging high-quality seed products in accordance with industry standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements. Your expertise will ensure efficient production flow, maintain product integrity, and uphold the company's commitment to excellence. Duties Operate packaging equipment and industrial machinery to package seed products efficiently and accurately, adhering to manufacturing standard operating procedures (SOPs). Interpret production documents, including batch records and packaging instructions, to ensure correct procedures are followed throughout the packaging process. Conduct mechanical troubleshooting on packaging machinery and perform routine maintenance to minimize downtime and optimize performance. Handle materials safely using appropriate material handling equipment such as forklifts, ensuring proper storage and movement within the warehouse. Follow safety standards in production environments, including adherence to OSHA regulations and company safety protocols, especially during heavy lifting and assembly tasks. Maintain accurate production logs, documentation, and quality control records to ensure compliance with FDA regulations and CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices). Assist with warehouse operations by organizing inventory, performing quality checks on incoming materials, and supporting overall manufacturing activities. Qualifications Previous experience in manufacturing facilities or warehouse operations is highly preferred. Basic knowledge of mechanical systems, industrial equipment troubleshooting, and hand tools is essential. Familiarity with packaging equipment operation and materials handling techniques is required. Understanding of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), FDA regulations, and safety standards in production environments. Ability to interpret manufacturing documents accurately and follow detailed instructions precisely. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform troubleshooting on programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is a plus. Physical capability for heavy lifting, standing for extended periods, and performing repetitive assembly tasks safely. Valid forklift certification or experience operating material handling equipment is desirable.
