Job Overview Join our dynamic team as an Entry Level Food Lab Technician specializing in Microbiology! This exciting role offers the opportunity to contribute to food safety, quality assurance, and research development within a vibrant laboratory environment. You will support microbiological testing processes, ensure compliance with industry standards, and help maintain rigorous laboratory procedures. This paid position is ideal for individuals passionate about scientific research, food safety, and laboratory techniques who are eager to grow their career in the food industry. Duties Perform microbiological analyses on food samples to detect pathogens, spoilage organisms, and contaminants using standardized laboratory techniques Assist in maintaining laboratory equipment, ensuring calibration and proper functioning in accordance with GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) and CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice) standards Collect and document data accurately during experiments and routine testing, ensuring compliance with FDA regulations and quality control protocols Support research & development projects by preparing samples, recording observations, and analyzing results using laboratory information management systems (LIMS) Follow detailed laboratory procedures for microbiology testing, histology, molecular biology assays, and other related techniques Maintain a clean and organized lab environment, adhering to safety protocols and veterinary terminology when applicable Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by participating in method validation, analysis skills enhancement, and documentation of findings Requirements coursework in microbiology, biology, chemistry, or related scientific field; industrial laboratory experience is a plus Familiarity with laboratory procedures including microbiology techniques, molecular biology methods, histology, and data collection practices Knowledge of FDA regulations, GLP standards, CGMP practices, and quality control processes within a laboratory setting Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret scientific data accurately Experience working with laboratory information management systems (LIMS) or similar software is preferred Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in following research protocols and lab procedures Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced research or clinical laboratory environment Embark on your scientific journey with us!
