Typical Schedule:

As a Part-Time Food Analysis Technician, you'll work behind the scenes in our laboratory, helping evaluate food products for quality and physical characteristics. This is an entry-level opportunity with full on-the-job training , making it a great fit for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and interested in food, science, or laboratory work. If you have experience working in a grocery store, restaurant, food production, or other food-related environment , that experience is a major plus! What You'll Do As a Food Analysis Technician, you will: Perform physical testing on food samples according to client specifications and established procedures. Carefully observe, evaluate, and record physical characteristics of food products. Enter testing information and results accurately into our Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). Review data for accuracy and correct discrepancies when needed. Receive, identify, label, and log samples into the laboratory system. Review sample documentation and follow up when information is missing or unclear. Maintain sample integrity by properly storing samples throughout the testing process. Prepare samples for shipment to other laboratories when required. Communicate with supervisors and support teams regarding testing questions, results, or potential delays. Meet established turnaround times and promptly communicate late or out-of-specification results. Assist with data collection, data entry, customized reports, and other laboratory projects. Follow Good Laboratory Practices, quality procedures, safety requirements, and company standards. Identify and document departures from established testing procedures or quality requirements. Contribute to quality and continuous improvement initiatives. Perform other related duties as assigned. At least 1 year of relevant work experience. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to follow written procedures and instructions. Comfortable using computers and entering information accurately. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Preferred Qualifications Associate degree. 1+ years of related work experience. Experience in a grocery store, restaurant, food production, food retail, laboratory, or similar environment. Basic knowledge of food science, chemistry, or microbiology. Work Environment This position is primarily performed in a laboratory environment with controlled lighting and temperature.
