Ag & Heavy Equipment Technician I Are you looking for a place to put your skills to work to help keep America running? As an Ag & Heavy Equipment technician at Walker and Walker Equipment, you will use your skills to diagnose, repair, and build the equipment that keeps America running. Our technicians are responsible for the safe, timely, and effective completion of all builds, service, diagnosis, and repair of equipment ranging from small tractors to large excavators, dozers, and ag equipment. A successful technician should manage their time effectively, be detail oriented, and be willing and able to learn all parts of the repair process including reading parts diagrams, schematics, and diagnostic software. As a newer technician, you will be given the opportunity to advance your skills through a dedicated training path from Kubota. As you increase your knowledge and skills, you will be able to move into higher levels of this role. And if you have the ambition and ability to lead, there are opportunities to grow into a leadership role in the service department.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

Build new units per build sheet specifications Troubleshoot, diagnosis, and repair complex mechanical, hydraulic, diesel, and electrical systems Load, Unload, and haul equipment as necessary Examine all equipment for additional work and report to service manager as necessary Manage time effectively while providing documentation of work performed in a clear and concise manner Maintain clean and safe working environment in and around the shop area Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record (Required) Class A CDL or willingness to obtain (Preferred) Familiarization with agricultural or construction equipment (Preferred) Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools Knowledge of construction equipment and strong mechanical background knowledge of various engines and systems Superior customer service and ability to be a team player Verbal and written communication skills Ability to frequently lift items up to 50 lbs Pay offered will be commensurate with candidates qualifications. $15.00 - $35.00 per hour
