Job Description

Food Safety & Quality Assurance Technician I Third Shift | Lebanon, PA Schedule Monday to Friday, plus Saturdays as needed
Second Shift:

Position Summary The FSQA Technician I supports food safety and quality compliance for HACCP, SQF, and company programs. This role works directly in a cold production environment surrounded by raw and cooked meats. Applicants must have previous food manufacturing experience, ideally in meat or poultry processing, trimming, packing, or inspection. Key Responsibilities Daily food safety and quality monitoring, including: Product audits, product control checks, and defect inspections Temperature monitoring of products, rooms, cooking, and chilling CCP verification for cooking and chilling processes Pre-shipment reviews Microbiological and environmental swabbing Pest control observations Documentation and compliance: Review HACCP, SQF, and other records for accuracy and completeness Monitor SOP compliance and assist with corrective investigations Observe and document employee GMP compliance Communicate clearly and professionally across departments Required Qualifications Education High school diploma or GED required Experience/Skills (Required) Previous food manufacturing experience is required Preference given to applicants with meat, poultry, or raw product processing experience (e.g., trimming, packing, inspection, cooking, chilling, or sanitation) Basic knowledge of HACCP, SQF, GMPs, or QA processes preferred Ability to use computers for spreadsheets, data entry, and reports (Microsoft Access a plus) Who Succeeds in This Role Reliable, punctual, detail-oriented Comfortable working around raw and cooked meats in a cold environment Open to feedback, eager to learn, and team-oriented Strong communication skills and commitment to food safety excellence Work Environment Cold, humid, fast-paced food production areas Work involves raw and cooked meats and heavy processing equipment Physical Requirements Lift up to 50 lbs Stand and walk for long periods Frequent writing and documentation Ability to distinguish colors for labeling and chemical tests Why Join Godshall's Family-owned, stable, and growing People-first culture built on respect and teamwork Opportunities for advancement in QA and food production careers Benefits Medical, Dental, and Vision (Aetna) Company-paid Short-Term Disability and Basic Life Insurance 401(k) with company match (up to 6 percent) Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) Annual profit sharing Flexible Spending Accounts (Health & Dependent Care) Paid Time Off and Paid Holidays Protective footwear payroll program Wellness and mental health support (Teladoc, AbleTo)
