Each One Teach One Childcare & Learning Center is seeking a dependable, organized, and caring Food Service Coordinator to prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks for children in our early learning program. The ideal candidate understands food safety, enjoys working in a child-centered environment, and can maintain an efficient, clean, and well-stocked kitchen.

Schedule:

Full-time, Monday through Friday Responsibilities Prepare and serve breakfast, lunch, and snacks according to the center's daily meal schedule. Follow approved menus, portion guidelines, recipes, and CACFP requirements. Maintain accurate meal production records, food counts, temperature logs, menus, and other required documentation. Accommodate documented food allergies, dietary restrictions, and special meal requirements. Order groceries and kitchen supplies while staying within the approved budget. Monitor inventory, expiration dates, and food storage to reduce waste and prevent shortages. Properly label, date, store, and rotate food using safe food-handling practices. Keep the kitchen, appliances, dishes, storage areas, and food preparation surfaces clean and sanitized. Receive and inspect food deliveries for quality, accuracy, and safe temperatures. Communicate with administrators and classroom staff regarding menus, meal schedules, allergies, and supply needs. Assist with nutrition-related activities, special events, and celebrations when needed. Follow all center policies and applicable health, safety, sanitation, and childcare regulations. Complete other food service duties as assigned by center leadership. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Previous food preparation, kitchen, cafeteria, childcare, or food service experience preferred. Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, meal planning, and portion control. Experience with CACFP guidelines and documentation is strongly preferred. Ability to follow menus, recipes, allergy plans, and written instructions. Strong organization, time-management, and recordkeeping skills. Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with staff. Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift food, supplies, and equipment. Must be dependable, punctual, professional, and comfortable working around children. Must obtain or maintain all required clearances, health assessments, and trainings. Food safety certification, such as ServSafe, is preferred or must be obtained within the required timeframe.
