Job Description

Ammonia Refrigeration and Boiler Technician Sioux Falls, SD | $24 to $34 Per Hour This food manufacturing facility is hiring an Ammonia Refrigeration and Boiler Technician to perform refrigeration and boiler technician duties and assist other maintenance personnel on shift. This is a full time hourly position working a rotating 2-2-3 twelve hour night shift schedule. Schedule Full time, rotating 2-2-3 twelve hour night shift schedule. Compensation $24 to $34 per hour, based on experience. What You'll Do The Ammonia Refrigeration and Boiler Technician demonstrates strong safety leadership and follows safe work practices, working as part of a team to plan and conduct equipment repairs. This person conducts routine audits and equipment inspections, applies troubleshooting skills to resolve issues, and maintains open, professional communication with operations. The role includes responding to unplanned and emergency work requests in a timely and effective manner, following food safety and good manufacturing practices, and working independently with a high degree of motivation. Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED and 1 or more years of related experience or training in industrial mechanical maintenance or food manufacturing, or 4 years of direct experience in an industrial mechanical maintenance or food manufacturing maintenance environment Comprehensive knowledge in 3 or more of the following areas: RETA certification, ammonia refrigeration, engine and boiler systems, electricity and motor controls, controls and instrumentation, PLC software and hardware, pneumatics and hydraulics, mechanical systems, predictive maintenance, maintenance planning, site utilities, system analysis and troubleshooting, pipefitting and welding, machining, or metal fabrication Basic computer skills Ability to work independently Willingness to work a rotating 2-2-3 twelve hour night shift schedule Preferred Qualifications RETA certification already attained Direct experience with ammonia refrigeration systems Experience with engine and boiler system maintenance in a food manufacturing environment Compensation and Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401k plan Paid time off Additional benefits to be confirmed with employer To apply , submit your resume for consideration.
