Job Description
Overview Join our vibrant team as an Ice Cream Server and Cashier, where you'll be the face of a fun, fast-paced food service environment! In this role, you'll delight customers with your friendly attitude, assist with food preparation, and ensure smooth transactions at the register. Your energy and attention to detail will create memorable experiences for every guest while maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your customer service skills in a lively retail and food industry setting. Duties Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service while taking their orders for ice cream and other treats Operate POS systems accurately for retail sales transactions and cash handling Prepare ice cream, toppings, waffles, pancakes, crepes and other items following food safety and sanitation guidelines Upsell additional products or upgrades to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales Maintain cleanliness of the serving area, including bussing tables, sanitizing equipment, and ensuring food safety standards are met Manage cash register operations efficiently, including processing payments and giving accurate change Assist with inventory management, restocking supplies, and supporting food preparation tasks as needed Skills Proven experience in food service, quick service restaurants, or retail sales transactions Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude Ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic math calculations quickly Knowledge of food handling procedures, sanitation practices, and food safety management Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods Previous experience in culinary or café environments is a plus but not required; enthusiasm to learn is essential Embark on a rewarding journey where your enthusiasm fuels great customer experiences!
