In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient installation, assembly, and adjustment of office furniture and fixtures across various client sites. Your expertise will ensure that all installations meet quality standards, safety regulations, and client specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, contribute to transforming workspaces, and develop your skills in construction and carpentry. Duties Read and interpret construction plans, technical drawings, and blueprints to accurately assemble office furniture and fixtures. Use hand tools, power tools for woodworking, and other equipment to assemble desks, cubicles, cabinetry, partitions, and related furnishings. Install office fixtures such as shelving units, lighting, electrical components, and hardware with precision. Perform heavy lifting and manual labor required for moving large furniture pieces safely and efficiently. Ensure all installations adhere to safety standards including power tool safety protocols and proper handling of woodworking machines. Conduct site inspections to verify measurements, alignment, and overall quality of completed work. Collaborate with project managers and clients to ensure timely completion of installation projects while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship. Skills Strong knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, and interpreting technical drawings. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools for woodworking, metal stud framing, drywall finishing (such as plastering), caulking, stucco application, and flooring installation. Experience with residential carpentry, trim carpentry, framing carpentry, metal stud framing, concrete forming, rebar installation, and remodeling projects. Familiarity with woodworking machines and fabrication techniques used in custom furniture assembly. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during fixture installation or restoration projects. Knowledge of construction site safety practices including power tool safety measures. Experience working on construction sites with a focus on interior finishes such as siding or door hanging; handyman experience is a plus. Skills in interpreting construction plans related to wood construction materials and technical specifications for fixtures or cabinetry.
