Overview Join our dynamic team as a Furniture Repair & Restoration Technician, where your craftsmanship and attention to detail will breathe new life into damaged furniture pieces. In this role, you will be responsible for restoring and repairing a variety of furniture items, ensuring they meet high standards of quality and aesthetic appeal. Your expertise in woodworking, carpentry, and restoration techniques will help restore furniture to its original state. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your craftmanship skills. Duties Assess furniture items to determine repair needs and restoration procedures Use hand tools and power tools for woodworking, including saws, sanders, drills, and other equipment to perform repairs and refinishing Perform construction estimating to determine the scope of work, materials needed, and project timelines Execute a variety of restoration tasks such as re-gluing joints, replacing damaged wood sections, sanding surfaces, applying finishes, and reupholstering when necessary Conduct heavy lifting safely during the movement of large furniture pieces; utilize proper safety protocols for power tool operation Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety standards for power tools and woodworking machines Qualifications Strong knowledge of wood construction materials and woodworking machines Familiarity with power tool safety practices; proficient in using hand tools and power tools for woodworking and furniture repair tasks Experience in reconditioning damaged furniture is a must Ability to repair wood, leather, fabric, metal, stone, marble & concrete.
