Full Job Description Pay:
Competitive; based on experience, demonstrated skill level, installation quality, and efficiency Job Summary ESM Motors is seeking a seasoned Paint Protection Film Installer with the experience and technical ability to independently complete high-quality installations on luxury, exotic, and performance vehicles. This is not a trainee or entry-level position. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience installing full-body PPF, understands proper vehicle preparation and disassembly, and can consistently produce clean, precise work that meets the standards of a premium automotive protection shop. Our installers are expected to balance craftsmanship with efficiency. Every vehicle must be completed carefully, professionally, and within a reasonable production timeframe without compromising installation quality. Responsibilities Independently complete full-body and partial PPF installations on luxury, exotic, and performance vehicles Install pre-cut patterns and perform bulk installations when appropriate Properly stretch, position, trim, seam, and finish film without damaging the vehicle Wrap edges wherever safely and appropriately possible for a clean, paint-like finish Complete challenging areas such as complex bumpers, mirrors, rocker panels, spoilers, diffusers, and high-contour body panels Safely remove and reinstall necessary trim, emblems, lights, handles, mirrors, and other components Prepare vehicles through thorough washing, decontamination, clay treatment, masking, and surface inspection Identify pre-existing paint defects, repainted panels, paint failure risks, and other conditions that could affect installation Inspect completed work for contamination, lifting edges, stretch marks, adhesive lines, silvering, trapped moisture, alignment issues, and other defects Correct installation issues before a vehicle reaches final quality control Maintain accurate awareness of film usage and minimize avoidable material waste Keep tools, installation areas, and the overall shop environment clean and organized Handle every client vehicle with care, respect, and professionalism Follow ESM Motors' installation, reassembly, documentation, quality-control, and delivery procedures Collaborate with other installers and support the team in meeting production deadlines Accept feedback professionally and take responsibility for the quality of completed work Required Qualifications Proven professional experience installing paint protection film Ability to independently complete full-front and full-body PPF installations Strong knowledge of installation techniques, film behavior, tension management, edge finishing, and contamination control Experience working with complex bumpers and highly contoured panels Ability to safely perform common vehicle disassembly and reassembly Comfortable working on luxury, exotic, performance, and high-value vehicles Strong attention to detail and a consistent record of producing clean installations Able to work efficiently without sacrificing workmanship Reliable, punctual, organized, and able to manage assigned work responsibly Able to receive direction and quality-control feedback without becoming defensive Valid driver's license and a clean driving record Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position, including standing for extended periods, bending, reaching, and lifting installation equipment Preferred Qualifications Three or more years of professional PPF installation experience XPEL installation experience or certification Experience using XPEL DAP or comparable pattern-cutting software Experience with bulk installation and custom edge work Familiarity with ceramic coating, paint correction, vinyl wrap, or automotive window tint Portfolio or photographs demonstrating completed full-body installations ESM Motors' Installation Standards Our reputation is built on precision and the quality of our finished work.
